In this game, like the PSX version you take control of Solid Snake, a member of the elite covert operation team Foxhound. After stopping the original Metal Gear several years ago Snake retired. The American government started production of there own Metal Gear. Recently a terrorist organisation has stolen a fully armed, but non-operational Metal Gear. They have also kidnapped scientists and staff to help arm the Metal Gear for full use. Your mission is to rendezvous with a Delta Force squad and take out the stolen Metal Gear. As with all infiltration missions you have to locate your own weapons and supplies.
