![]() ![]() Code Name: Vulcan Raven Sex: Male Age: 30's Nationality: USA (Alaskan) Role on the Game Vulcan Raven acts a level boss. You fight him twice, once in the tank and again in the Warehouse. Historical Background A member of FOX-HOUND, Vulcan Raven was born an Alaskan Indian. He is a giant shaman blessed with a strong physique and effective spiritual powers. His cultural background and stature enable him to withstand extreme cold temperatures. His preferred weapon is a Gatling Gun (ordinarily equipped on jet fighters) which he carries like a rifle. His name comes from a raven, which has been tattooed to his forehead. One winter, at the age of fifteen, he walked across the frozen Bering Strait, which separates Alaska from Russia. It was there that he first came in contact with the Soviet Spetsnaz. It was during this period that he met Revolver Ocelot. Yeltsin demoted him upon the coup in Moscow in 1993. Like fellow members of his secret unit, he left Russia and eventually joined the mercenary dispatching company Outer Heaven. How to beat Vulcan Raven Tank Firstly throw a Chaff Grenade at the tank, to scramble it's sensors and main gun, letting you get closer the tank. Equip your grenades and rations. Throw grenades at the hatch to take out the gunner inside. You can also lay Claymores to take out the catepillar tracks and slow the tank down. Use more chaff and the grenades again to take the tank out. There are grenades to the left and right of the top area of the screen as well as more chaff. The FMV will reveal that Raven didn't die and you will have to fight him again in the Warehouse. Warehouse Raven wields a Gatling Gun, so you can't take him on in a firefight. Use the containers in the warehouse to provide cover as they are out of reach of his bullets. Use the radar to track his movement. Equip rations and either Nikita or Stinger. Fire the Nikita and use First Person View Mode to damage Raven., or use the Stinger and hide behind one of the containers and wait for Raven to walk past to fire. C4 and Claymores can also be placed at the junctions too, but make sure you don't hit your own mines. Don't follow Raven, as he will notice so attack from afar. After a while, Raven will begin to shoot at the containers and make them fall down, blocking some of your routes. There are Stinger and Nikita missiles to the left and right, as well as C4 and rations after the containers fall down. |
